Google Calendar can be used to keep track of group meetings, assignment deadlines, group member availability, etc. One person in your group should set up a project calendar and share it with other group members.

Creating Your Project Calendar

1. At the top of the calendar list on the left, click the "Add" down-arrow button and select "Create a new calendar."
2. Enter the required information:
  • Calendar Name: Title the Name of Your Calendary (Ex: Group 1 Project)
  • Description (not required): You can write a brief description for your calendar if desired.
  • Location: LEAVE BLANK
  • Make this Calendar Public check box: If you plan on only sharing this calendar only with your group members, leave this box unchecked.
  • Share With Specific People: Type in the gmail address of the person you wish to add and set the permission settings to Make Changes AND Manage Sharing. Click Add Person. Repeat this process until all group members have been added.

3. Click on "Create Calendar."

All of the calendars you create will be listed under "My Calendars" on the left side of your page. For each of the calendars, you can add, delete, and edit events any time you like.

Adding an Event
1. Click on the day and time where you'd like to create a new event.
2. If the event spans over an hour, click and drag.
3. Type the title and event time for your new event in the box.
4. Finally, click "Create Event" to publish the event to your calendar immediately, or click "edit event details" to add additional information.

Edit or View Event Details
1.To view or edit the details of an event, click on the event and then click on "edit event details."
2. Here, you can check the guests' acceptance status, discuss events with guests, set events as all-day affairs, and modify other details.
3. After you've made your desired changes, click "Save."
